I had a funny goal in my twenties. I over induldged my lust for framed posters of famouse pieces of art and placed them all over my lovely Hollywood one bedroom apartment. One day I decided that I needed to see in person the originals of the posters I had collected. I did some research and found myself crawling around Europe (with no money!) looking for originals of my beloved posters. It was sortof like star hunting and in fact when I did find the objects of my desire I was often surprised how different they looked. Many times they were smaller and some how less significant then I had made them in my mind.
One in particular, Flaming June, by Frederich Leighton hung above my bed for over ten years. I was attracted by the vivid colors and the lushness of her dress and frame. I finally found the original in London and felt that I was finally meeting an old friend.
We’ve come full circle by making some deals with the Tate Gallery (my favorite gallery in the world) and the Victoria Albert and are offering masterpieces for your Digital Dollhouse. Come and see what it is like to get a Frederich Leights or a J.M.W Turner for less than 60 cents!!!
