Ombre all the way

Either dip dye or ombre the effect is the same = foxy.

one two three four five

With fall quickly approaching (say it isn’t so) these finds remind me of the changing color of trees. There are TONS of online tutorials so go get your dye on. I’m thinking napkins, towels, pillows – anything that is standing still basically. This means that my fam might be getting some handmade gifts this year.

Bandanna attack

I love planning details for parties! The real challenge of a big holiday is not to go over the top with matching the decor. It needs to give the vibe without hitting you over the head. That’s why I am loving this bandanna inspired table setting. It so reminds me of classic Americana  as does the gingham cupcake liners. Subtle but patriotic at the same time. The metallic star plates are just to fun to pass up! What do you like to focus on when you are party planning?

Monday Blues Inspiration

I needed a little jolt of design inspiration this morning to get me back from weekend mode. This house belongs to my friends 96 year old grandma – Gi-Gi.

I couldn’t stop taking pictures of this amazingly preserved  house from the ’60’s

Talent runs in this family. Most of the art on the walls are gifts from her three sons. All artist with very different styles, Ed Mell has art hanging in the Phoenix Art Museum.

Gi-Gi’s house is such a creative, inspirational place. I am honered to know such a rad lady with a rockin’ house.
